Very Early Helios Electric Company Street Lamp

I believe this was lamp was an 1800s Carbon Arch street lamp. This seldom seen Helios was from the beginning of electric lighting. We have left the original insides if the lamp intact and wired around it to take a standard bulb. It is signed on a brass plaque that reads… Helios Electric Co… Philadelphia… Type 642 H… Patents Applied For. The lamp uses a hand blown deep sloping milk glass shade. The body of the lamp has the original patina in dark copper and brass. You may never see another example… 28″ x 14″ diameter… $1600
