We were told that this one-of-a-kind hand made lamp originally came from the NY Worlds Fair. There were no markings and it’s unsigned so we can’t be sure of its origin. The quality and precision of the machining is beyond what would be found on a lamp. We would guess that it was a 6 lens projector that displayed images or patterns on the floor or ceiling. When we rewired the fixture we took out a 500W projector bulb and replaced the socket for a standard bulb. Each tube has a glass lens and an external frame that holds an angled mirror. This makes on of the most unique mid-century modern lamps we have ever seen. It has a real space age look to it. I wonder if someone important created this… SOLD
