1800s Cast Iron Eastlake Double Arm Oil Chandelier

Not many of these large and impressive Eastlake oil chandeliers were made and few survive today. Lamps like this are often unsigned but are attributed to companies like Tucker or Bradley and Hubbard. There are 2 arms and each one holds an oil lamp. It was quite a job to carefully electrify each font to now take a standard bulb and not destroy the historic look of this large piece. This example was finished with an extra tall chimney and domed frosted and cut glass shades. The shades glass has som iridescence to it. This combination gives the chandelier a a nice soft glow.
